Rebecca Hains is a versatile performer whose past on-stage engagements include Mabel (The Pirates of Penzance), Marion (The Music Man), and Cunegonde (Candide). Recent performance highlights have included the Queen of the Night (The Magic Flute) with MetroWest Opera; Beethoven's Ninth Symphony and Vaughan Williams' Dona Nobis Pacem with Claflin Hill Symphony Orchestra; Mozart's Exsultate, Jubilate with the Concord Ensemble; and Haydn's Lord Nelson Mass and Orff's Carmina Burana with the Paul Madore Chorale.

Upcoming engagements include Vivaldi's Beatus Vir (soprano soloist; Nashua Symphony Orchestra), Phyllis (Iolanthe, Mass Theatrica), and Saint-Saens' Oratorio de Noel (soprano soloist; First Church of Nashua).

An active recitalist, Ms. Hains has given recent solo recitals at the First Parish of Lexington concert series, the Salem Arts Festival, and the Newton Free Library. Upcoming recital dates include July 29 at the International Gilbert & Sullivan Festival in Gettysburg, PA and October 17 at the Peabody Institute Library.

An alumna of the Tanglewood Festival Chorus, Rebecca frequently appears as a soloist in regional musical theater and opera concerts, including the concert series of Longwood Opera, Mass Theatrica, the New England Gilbert and Sullivan Society, New England Light Opera, and Worcester Opera Works. Last season, she made her Jordan Hall debut as a soloist with the Longwood Symphony Orchestra. She was recenty a semifinalist in the William C. Byrd Young Artist Competition for vocalists, and she has given several well-received performances on stage and in recital at the International Gilbert & Sullivan Festival in Buxton, England.
